Datec Technologies Limited has a history going back to 1990 and was the subject of an acquisition in November 1999. Since then, Datec has been under the joint ownership of Belmont Trading and Sipi Metals Corporation (both of Chicago, Illinois, USA). Both companies have excellent credentials in the fields of component recovery/remarketing and precious metal refining respectively, and have strengthened Datec's international scope and ability to efficiently process electronics materials.

 

Recent History

Since moving to our 32,000ft2 Kilwinning (North Ayrshire, UK) facility in 2003, Datec have went from strength-to-strength, undergoing rapid expansion.

  • In 2006 Datec acquired additional warehouse space in Irvine (North Ayrshire, UK) where there are now twenty employees.

  • Datec have taken on almost fifty new staff in the past three years.

  • In autumn 2009 Datec opened a third facility - our first outside of the UK - near Stockholm, Sweden.
